Nurture the Soul, Treasure Relationships ()
Schopenhauer said: The most special weakness of human nature is to care about how others perceive oneself. Many people's self-confidence or self-doubt comes from others' views. They will be narcissistic because of someone's praise, and deeply depressed because of someone's criticism. But in fact, others have their mouths, and life has its own. We don't have to live as others see us, and we shouldn't change our lives because of others' evaluations. Life is short, don't make it difficult for yourself, don't please others, just be yourself. You don't have so many audiences, don't work so hard.
Just like climbing over hills, you only discover if anyone is waiting. So, climbing over hills reveals that there are more mountains in the distance. We cannot expect every mountain to be conquered, but as long as we keep walking and keep climbing, we can continuously reach new heights and see new scenery.
Life is like a dream, not a dream because it's too real; years flow like water, not water because of bitterness. In life, many things depend on oneself, and many feelings depend on individuals. A big heart creates a wide road, a small heart creates difficulty. To be a good person requires humility, and to do things requires thoughtfulness. The heart needs to be expanded, and the mentality needs to be relaxed.
Meeting is unpredictable, arranged by heaven; deep friendship is rare, it's the belonging of hearts! In the vast sea of people, who doesn't meet and part? In the great world, who doesn't meet and have a sense of mutual admiration? Meeting depends on fate, fate allows us to meet; deep friendship is based on character, character allows us to share joys and sorrows! What is fate? Fate is a wonderful encounter arranged by heaven; fate is a sincere heart that cannot be bought. What is character? Character is the greatest trump card in a person's life, and character is the necessary condition for interacting with others! Fate lets us meet the person we are meant to meet, and character lets us cherish the person we want to cherish.
