Quiet Night Thoughts
Wishing to write a small poem with no good words
No sleep at night
Let's drink and enjoy ourselves for once
Clear and bland, not fully developed
Dark night
Looking at the distant starry sky
Old street neon lights are dim
Quiet and serene
The candlelight flickers, eyebrows not relaxed
Looking up at the distant heights
Raising a glass to ask the heavens
Who sings the moonlight melodies, facing the moon alone
Softly sighing and murmuring
Hearing the sound of a guzheng with chaotic strings
Still feeling troubled and confused
Sharing the same feeling
The mountains and rivers echo with this feeling
Transmitting across the sky
Spreading out a piece of aged yellow paper
Brush strokes like a dragon and snake
Drawing a full moon
Writing a line of delicate characters
Love words through the years
Falling into a drowsy state
Holding a cup of pure boiled water to contemplate Zen
A beautiful and flowing nocturne
Gently arranging hair with a hairpin
Looking at beautiful women
Don't lament the hardships of life
Time is merciless
Beautiful dreams, ruined reality
Reality is poignant
Why complicate things?
It's better to just…
Watching a neighbor's wedding
A neighbor adds a son
Falling straight into a relaxed state
Collecting local anecdotes
Making tea and chatting
Drinking poetry with cups and glasses
Restoring fragments of ancient scores
Traveling the universe with a book
Spilling ink onto the river
Dyeing the mountains and rivers
Writing one's youth on the pen
