Previously, I discovered that only pregnant women would bulge their bellies. Now, I can only say that it completely refreshed my 'three views'. The fat on the abdomen is not aesthetically pleasing, especially in summer, they can only choose loose styles. From a Chinese medicine perspective, it's not a sensory issue, but rather a health issue.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that there is an important meridian in the waist and abdomen, which is called the 'belt meridian'. It's like a string wrapped around the waist. When the belt meridian is blocked, the places it passes through will appear as 'excess fat'. It's like carrying a heavy load of fat and cholesterol, which can affect the circulation of qi and blood.

So, how to eliminate abdominal fat?

We will put our index and middle fingers on both sides of our ribs, and in a standing or sitting posture, we will lift the excess fat in the rib cage. Then, we will simultaneously perform a twisting and rubbing motion with our index and middle fingers, with some force.

We may feel particularly painful when twisting and rubbing, we must persevere, twist and rub for 3 circles, then successively rub towards the navel, each time we must do it thoroughly and seriously.

Twisting process

During the twisting process, we may experience thirst, which indicates that the qi and blood are active, we can take a few sips of water to supplement it and relieve the feeling of thirst.

Based on my past experience, if we persist in twisting, 10 minutes each time, 2 times a day, after 7 days, the pain will gradually disappear. Then continue to insist on doing it until the abdominal fat disappears. Young friends may need half a month, and older friends may need one or two months to see obvious changes. Everyone's physique is different, so it depends on the running of qi and blood.

Postpartum women after cesarean section

I remember a friend who had a cesarean section, the area around her navel was particularly stiff. However, after she persisted in twisting and rubbing the abdominal fat, she accidentally discovered that the stiff area around her navel gradually became softer.

Some medical friends may ask, after a cesarean section, are the meridians broken?
