Stepone 160X Running Shoes: Second and Third Road Running Experiences
I feel that running with the Stepone 160X is much better than Nike Zoomfly FK.
Living in a world where 'the only certainty is uncertainty,' I don't know many things. I'm unsure whether the US, UK, and Japan are truly in deep trouble, unsure of the iron will of the DPRK, and unsure whether the J-20 is superior to the F-22. I'm also unsure whether the Lynk & Co 03 is better than the Civic, and unsure about the Huawei P40 versus the Samsung S20.
But I'm sure that the Stepone 160X is much better than Nike's % series.

The experience and initial feeling of running aren't much different – they're light, bouncy, but not overly soft. I used to run with a high cadence (tempo run 190, interval 200), and recently I've been trying to practice hip mobilization, increase my stride length, and lower my cadence. I used to run fast and light, but now I'm running slower with longer steps. The 160X has excellent rebound and feedback, allowing me to take big steps and feel like I'm 'jumping' while running.
Another advantage is that the Stepone 160X isn't as extreme as Nike's % series, with a mid-sole zoomx that has a limited lifespan.
Stepone may have considered the durability for ordinary runners, adding some abrasion-resistant rubber to the outsole. The % series is slightly heavier and feels stiffer. They sacrificed absolute performance to ensure a longer lifespan. After 50 kilometers, the wear and tear was almost the same as the new shoes.
The second advantage is that the 160X's shoe width is very friendly to 'fat feet.' I used to wear Nike or Adidas running shoes, which were often too narrow and too short, especially at the toe area, so I had to buy them a size or two larger. The 160X's shoe is wide enough, and I can wear it comfortably in all directions – initially, I unconsciously thought it was too small because I was used to wearing shoes that were a finger's width larger in the front and back. But once I started running, I realized there were no problems, and it felt comfortable with my feet.
Finally, let's talk about the appearance or 'non-product-related' aspects.
If we ignore the brand's halo effect, from a 'product' perspective, I personally think that if the 160X is worth 730 yuan, the % series is worth 900 to 1000 yuan, and its lifespan is not as good. Then the fly series is worth 450 to 500 yuan, and the turbo series is worth about 550 yuan.
Adding the brand's halo effect, I'm going to praise again.
It's amazing to be able to wear the same shoes as my idol, especially since this idol is a Chinese person, especially since this shoe is truly running to 208 and saying nothing.
