Vertebrates, Class Aves, Order Passeriformes, Family Nectariniidae. Inhabits broadleaf forests in valleys, beside streams and on slopes of hills and low mountains, also found in bushes near villages, or active in tropical rainforests and Camellia forests.
The Fork-tailed Sunbird is one of the most widely distributed species in the Nectariniidae family in China. It mainly feeds on nectar, which helps to spread pollen and promote the growth of fruit trees. This bird usually acts alone, sometimes in pairs or flocks, prefers to forage in forests and Camellia bushes, and is not afraid of people. Its song is melodious and enchanting, often intermittently emits pleasing and melodious sounds, like the sound of metal clanging.
