A Village by the Taklamakan Desert, Home to the Mysterious Robat People

Taklamakan Desert, located in the southern Tarim Basin of Xinjiang, is China's largest desert and the world's second largest shifting desert, with a total area of 330,000 square kilometers. The Robat Tribe Village Tourism Area, southern desert sightseeing and adventure expansion areas all belong to the Taklamakan Desert.
The dunes in the Taklamakan Desert are mostly mobile sand dunes, with the surface resembling honeycomb, feather, and fish scale patterns, suitable for tourism and desert off-road adventure. There are many rare and endangered animals like wild camels and Hu throughout the Taklamakan Desert.
The ancient Silk Road runs through the southern end of the Taklamakan Desert. It has a long history and rich culture. Swedish explorer Sven Hedin discovered the world-renowned ancient city of Krorai in Oldkök under the guidance of Robat people.

The Robat Tribe Village is located 35 kilometers southwest of Yili County. The village has a radius of 72 square kilometers and is home to more than 20 households, one of the largest villages in Western China. It belongs to the Jongkurqin and is a Robat people's paradise, covering the Taklamakan Desert, shifting lakes, the Tarim River, original Hu, grasslands and the Robat people.
Where the largest desert, the longest inland river, the largest green corridor and the Silk Road converge, forming a golden quality natural landscape.
Abudan, a sparkling gem on the Silk Road. In the Robat language, 'Abudan' means 'lush grass and suitable for living' and also means 'a good place'.
Thousands of years of friendship trees. These ancient Hu trees, with ages nearing a thousand years, are a testament to enduring love and companionship.
Some call them 'husband and wife trees', while others refer to them as 'brother trees'. Regardless, they have been given life and soul by humanity.

Hu fossil. This is a Hu fossil from 150 million years ago. The Robat people's descendants, Abudu, said: 'It's the grandfather of the Tarim River Hu'.
This is the largest naan pit in Western China, with a height of approximately 3.8 meters and a diameter of about 4 meters, capable of baking large, fragrant naan breads about 1.2 meters in diameter. Naan is a specialty food of Xinjiang, and the charcoal fire brings to life ancient, fragrant naan breads.
