A Fence Will Do: Cucumber
Modern Poetry: 'Cucumber'
Author: Cai Si
Give a fence, and it will suffice
A stage that doesn't occupy much ground
Together with the wheat and corn in the vast field with our peers
Climb to your own height with abandon
Just like that, branches and leaves grew into a lush, upward hope
No need for deep philosophy or slogans
No grand objectives
Every step is in the heart of a farmer
In the most unassuming place
Flowers bloom at the most appropriate moment
Gourds grow at the most suitable height
Just simple and steady
Walking on the farmer's heart
Satisfying plants
