It's only half right to aim for the summit?

Having a goal at the summit is good, but if you've reached your limit at half way, stop and you've reached the peak. — Author's Note

Reaching for the Far Distant Mountains
1. Aim for the summit, is that enough?
People often say: Where there is a will, there is a way. They also say: Persistence brings success…
From childhood, we have been motivated by all kinds of famous quotes. When we encounter setbacks or feel discouraged, these inspiring sentences give us great encouragement, allowing us to regain our momentum after difficulties.

Such sentences can be passed down through the ages, because they carry vast positive energy, which people cannot refuse.
Thank you for our language's richness, which contains so many wonderful phrasesat the moment we need it, they replace all external forces, becoming a huge support for our spirit.
However, people cannot live solely by spiritual strength, nor can they rely solely on their own strong imagination to 'strive'.
If you want to see the scenery at the top of the mountain, you must prepare yourself for exhaustion; you must also prepare for 'no matter how hard you try, you are still a little short of the summit' ; even you must prepare for 'maybe you can't reach the summit today' .

Once you've made all the preparations, what's the most important part? You have to take your feet and move forward in the correct direction towards the mountain. Otherwise, if your direction is wrong, your efforts will be wasted.
So, having a goal at the summit is just a thought; our dream of being at the summit, we not only need a grand ambition, but we also need to have practical diligence, and we also need unwavering persistence, 2. If you can't reach the summit, why not stop at half way? Some people stubbornly believe that pursuing a goal is a matter of unwavering commitment; others believe that striving beyond their ability is a persistent pursuit. The difference between stubbornness and perseverance lies in the way we view our goals: When we believe 96 is excellent, we don't care about the ranking; but when we think 100 is the best, we don't care about the rank.
Stubbornness leads to blind expectations, while perseverance stems from a clear understanding of ourselves. The short and the long are relative; mountains and plants have their own characteristics; it's pointless to insist on a perfect self.
However, the road to the summit is not always smooth; it's bumpy, steep, and full of dangers. Some of us can handle it with ease, some can fight bravely, but some can never overcome,

When you have tried your best to achieve a target but still cannot reach it, you should

The goal always exists, and achieving one leads to another; and the self that dedicates all its effort to achieving a goal is the greatest meaning of life.
3. Set your own goals and also understand how to compromise with reality
A friend asked me: 'How can I relieve my current anxiety and distress?' I replied:
The Buddha said that people often do three things:

because people refuse to accept reality, they create a seemingly beautiful illusion in their minds, and the longer they stay in it, the harder it is to face the truth,

We should have lofty ambitions; since we're setting out, our goal is the summit. However, climbing the process doesn't mean everyone can persevere:
Some are physically weak, some lack confidence, and some simply don't want to be too tired… We are all ordinary people,
Even if we reach the top, we're just ordinary people who reached the top; we won't become immortals.
The scenery at the summit is undoubtedly unique; but who can say that the scenery at the bottom, half way, and along the way is not beautiful? Perhaps when you reach the summit, you'll find that all your efforts were in vain, isn't it?People always think that 'giving up' and 'compromising' are less powerful than 'persistence' and 'determination' .Unconsciously, in our limited lives, we should give up the secondary things, so that we can focus on the key things; and we should know that compromising is necessary in most cases, so that we can make a breakthrough in the few cases.

Therefore, people should often set their own goals, so that life has a direction; but don't be afraid to give up your ambitions, as long as this abandonment is for a better choice. Don't worry about compromising will make you lose yourself, as long as this compromise is for further progress.
