Q: I have about 3 points. Wang Teacher, can you tell us specifically what psychological tests refer to?A: Psychological tests are a relatively advanced testing method. It's through various means to quantify certain psychological characteristics of a person, to measure an individual's psychological factors and individual psychological differences. That is, through psychological tests, we can transform abstract psychological characteristics into concrete terms to help us better understand our psychological state. There are many forms and types of psychological tests, divided according to their testing functions. There are ability tests, academic achievement tests, and personality tests. Each test has different emphases to help us understand different aspects.
Q: People's learning, work, or interpersonal communication pressures are increasing. Some psychological diseases, such as depression, are causing suicide cases. Psychological problems are receiving more and more attention. What exactly constitutes psychological health?A: What constitutes psychological health? Many famous psychologists have put forward their own standards, such as the six standards proposed by Olport and the ten standards proposed by Maslow. However, psychological phenomena are very complex and difficult to generalize into a universal system. In simple terms, psychological health refers to the harmonious state of mental aspects and psychological activities. The ideal state of psychological health is to maintain a perfect personality, normal intelligence, correct cognition, appropriate emotions, rational will, positive attitude, appropriate behavior, and adaptation. In reality, very few people achieve perfect psychological health. Most people are in a state of sub-health, often experiencing anxiety, panic, self-doubt, and frustration. These emotions can be self-regulated or with the help of others, and will not cause us too much harm. Occasionally experiencing these emotions does not need to be panicked.
Q: Although there are various psychological tests online, it's hard to judge your psychological situation without the help of a professional like you. Many people don't even know if they have psychological problems and whether they need help. What are some simple ways to judge?A: Psychologists have conducted comprehensive research on psychological health standards. Today, I will briefly introduce ten standards of psychological health for you to see how many you match.
1. Sufficient sense of security: Security is one of the basic needs of people. If you are always worried and uneasy, you will quickly age. Depression and anxiety can cause dysfunction of the digestive system and even lead to disease.2. Sufficient understanding of oneself, make appropriate judgments about one's abilities. If you force yourself to do things beyond your capabilities, you will feel frustrated and harm your body and mind. Overwork will damage your health.
3. Realistic life goals. Due to the limitations of social production and development level and material living conditions, if life goals are set too high, it will inevitably lead to frustration and harm your health.4. Maintain contact with the outside world. Because people's mental needs are multi-layered, contact with the outside world can enrich spiritual life, and timely adjust behavior to better adapt to the environment.
5. Maintain the integrity and harmony of one's personality. Personal capabilities, interests, personality and temperament should be harmonious and consistent to achieve the greatest self-realization.6. Possess a certain learning ability. In the modern era, knowledge is constantly updated, so we must learn new things to adapt to new situations, be proficient in our work, and achieve more success.
7. Maintain good interpersonal relationships. Interpersonal relationships, whether positive or negative, have a significant impact on psychological health.
8. Be able to moderately express and control emotions. People have different emotional experiences, such as joy, anger, sadness, and fear. Unpleasant emotions must be released to achieve emotional balance. But don't overindulge, otherwise, it will affect your life and exacerbate interpersonal conflicts, which is not good for your physical and mental health.
9. Play a limited role in one's talents and interests. People's talents and interests should be fully utilized, but not to the detriment of others' interests or group interests, otherwise, it will cause interpersonal disputes and increase frustration, which is not good for your physical and mental health.
10. Under the conditions that do not violate social moral norms, basic personal needs should be met to a certain extent. Of course, it must be legal, otherwise, you will be criticized by conscience, subject to public opinion pressure, or face legal sanctions, and you cannot have psychological health.
Q: Although there are various psychological tests online, it's hard to judge your psychological situation without the help of a professional like you. Many people don't even know if they have psychological problems and whether they need help. What are some simple ways to judge?
A: Not like that. If you have three to five points, I think you need to understand yourself better and see which point you don't meet, and make appropriate changes. For example, if you find that you are not harmonious in interpersonal relationships, you need to think about whether you are too cold, and try to communicate more with people, learn to empathize, and treat people with a smile. If you have five or more points, you may have some psychological problems. However, this is not a definitive judgment, it's just a reflection of your psychological status at a specific time, as long as you actively solve the problems, they will be resolved.
