I Once Believed in the Light of This World; Now My Eyes Are Filled with Tears in Mourning for Your Soul!
Gently,
You left,
Taking only a scroll of admonishment with you.
The snowflakes that danced across the sky last night,
Were the souls of the pure and virtuous departing from the mortal realm.

Gently,
You left,
Bearing with you unspoken grievances and regrets.
Grievances were like an indelible red thumbprint, unwanted by you;
Regrets were the final, abrupt cessation of the gaze that heals the world's sorrows.

Gently,
You left,
Walking at the cusp of spring's blossoming.
You would never again witness worldly splendor, the changing of the seasons, or the joys and sorrows of humankind.
Gently,
You left,
With an endless longing for your loved ones.
You could no longer experience the joys of parent and child, of familial love.
The fleeting glimmer that had passed across the horizon,
Was the evidence of your passing through this world.
Though there were many things in this world that were not worth it,
You still loved them!
You loved the magnificent mountains and rivers,
You loved the everyday sights and sounds of human life,
You loved all of humankind.
When the darkness first began to stir,
You issued a gentle warning to humanity, as tender as you were!
But,
No one heeded your warning.
And the darkness grew stronger,
Spreading to countless people,
You were consumed.
You struggled to resist,
But you could not escape the inescapable cycle of fate!
You closed your eyes wearily,
Allowing tears to fall endlessly,
Gradually transforming into snowflakes,
One by one, countless snowflakes,
As a final, heartfelt farewell to the mountains and rivers you loved, to your parents and children, to your brothers and sisters,
Then you faded away,
Transforming into the most crystalline snowflakes,
Gently drifting towards the distant paradise.
Gently,
You left.
Taking only a scroll of admonishment with you.
I once believed in the light of this world,
Now my eyes are filled with tears in mourning for your soul!
