Modern Poetry "Turning Back"

I turned and left, never to look back.
This broken home, has no memories.
When he hit me for the first time
I wanted to boil water and scald him to death!
No.
I stayed quiet for a whole night.
I have two children.
Wait until I'm settled, then I'll take them away.
Never look back, no more pity for that scoundrel.
There are men, like poison in this world.
Rotting to the roots, is his only way out.
I won't resent a hard life, I'll open a small bakery.
Fearless of hardship.
Just afraid of being cowardly.
Like mud, you can't climb a wall.
Living, you must be a good brick.
You shouldn't be contributing to the country, but you should protect your children.
