A Lifetime of Wisdom
Heart determines morality as 'xin sheng', nature determines destiny as 'xin ming', destiny determines fortune as 'yun ming', fortune determines atmosphere as 'yun qi', atmosphere determines appearance as 'qi miao', appearance determines face as 'xiang miao'.
We talk about longevity, there are four kinds of people who live long: the first kind, people with no heart and no lungs live long; the second kind, people who drift aimlessly live long; the third kind, calm people live long; the fourth kind, enlightened people live long. So, how did illness come about? Some people worry and panic all day long, with many concerns, and these people fit the character 'patient'. The heart keeps rising, today worrying about children, tomorrow worrying about this person, with that person, about this worry, about that fear… you're preparing to be a patient. A calm heart can achieve longevity.
It's not knowledge that allows one to be an official, it's not talent that allows one to be a boss. Many people are dissatisfied now: 'This person is useless, how did he become a boss?' Look, how calm he is, how quiet he is about money. Some officials are calm when they're in charge, like taking a trip to the toilet, so easy. You can't do that. Being a team leader is already exciting. Your capacity is so limited! Remember, the size of your heart determines the size of your world.
Many people are old and stubborn: 'Look, this leader has no talent.' Does he need talent? Heaven doesn't like people with talent, it doesn't like having talent, it doesn't like you having talent, only calm and harmony. Heaven gives generously to good people, and Taoism also emphasizes the midpoint, the Doctrine of the Mean. Calmness leads to distance; calmness leads to eternity.

Some people are useless, but they're lucky, 'a stupid person is a lucky person.'

The Buddha's nature is inherent in everyone, complete and full. It listens to you. What is Buddha? Not a statue, it is everywhere, no size, no interior, it is the truth, it is a law, it's called truth, Buddhists call it Buddha, followers of the way call it Dao, followers of the master call him Master, using different names, just different names.
First, no quality.
Second, mood out of time.
Third, mood superlight.
Fourth, mood is completely directional, wherever you think, you will arrive.
Fifth, mood has residual effects. All moods leave a residue, and the residue eventually leads to a qualitative transformation.
Sixth, mood is eternal energy.
Seventh, mood is real matter, the entire support of humanity.

Eighth, mood can be cleared, a cleared mood can be retrieved, mood can be modified (this is the reverse of the law). Mood can transform matter. Some people's moods turn into cancer; some people's moods turn into disasters. Mood can nurture all things, if your mood is sick, your body will be sick, your body is the display of the mind.
A person works very hard and is pushed down by a so-called petty person. I said, 'This petty person saved your life, do you know?' 'What do you mean?' 'You're so positive and hardworking, responsible, he wouldn't push you off your job, you'd die at your job. Only through this 'degree' – through setbacks, to measure you, to let you let go of your obsession with work.' It turned out that hurting you was also out of love.
