In the school district group, there are always some who don't leave and never speak. What is the mindset behind this?
To be honest, I am one of those who doesn't often speak in the school district group. I've never participated in school reunions because I don't find them meaningful.
Because I'm a person with low emotional intelligence, I simply don't know what to talk about with classmates who haven't seen each other in twenty years, let alone what to say.
I accidentally ran into an old classmate last year, and we exchanged phone numbers. Later, she invited me into the group, but every time I saw those boastful and extravagant conversations, I wanted to leave, but I didn't have the face to.
After all, we've been separated for twenty years, and our circles have become different. It's really not worth talking about. Leaving would worry me that people would say I'm not sociable. So, I just hang around.
It's out of respect, and it's because I simply don't know what to say.
Some people in the school district group don't leave and never speak, which is perfectly normal.
I think most people are like this: no matter what you say, we are still classmates, not leaving is out of respect for past friendship, and not speaking is because you simply don't know what to say.
We've been separated for so long that there are no common topics. Besides, after so many years, even acquaintances remain acquaintances, while classmates who were once close have become strangers.
After graduation, we've been separated for too long, lacking common language, and the feelings of the past have faded. So, even in the group, it's often hard to find something to say, and I don't know what to say.
Nowadays, the school district group has changed its nature. It's better to avoid offending people, so it's better not to say anything.
Students are innocent and pure in their youth, always feeling that those beautiful years are unforgettable. But school friendships are limited to that period of school life. Now, after decades, school reunions are not an extension of school friendships.
Nowadays, many people use boasting to satisfy their vanity or other purposes. This is not what friendship should be about.
There's a type of person in the school district group who never speaks but doesn't leave. There's nothing wrong with that. And this type of person will become more and more in the future, because of different life and work circles after decades, there are no topics to talk about.
Some classmates have changed a lot after graduation, becoming arrogant and sensitive. If you chat with them face-to-face, you can observe their emotions, but you can't detect them in the group, and you might accidentally offend them. It doesn't matter anyway, so just stay in the group.
Xiaomei's musings: Just be yourself, it doesn't matter if you're not sociable.
Nowadays, most school district groups are basically about showing off food, drinks, and fun, or boasting about wealth and happiness, or forwarding mindless chicken soup. It's really meaningless.
Leaving the campus and entering the real world is the beginning of life. We all have our own families and lives, and it's good to live them well, without comparing ourselves to others.
The best way to interact with people is to do our own things and communicate occasionally. Solitude is a wisdom, and the best state for a person to be in is to enjoy solitude. People who never leave the school district group are truly understanding life.
People who enjoy solitude are often enlightened and wise, seeing things through and not seeing them through. After all, differences in our three views are inevitable, even in a school district group, a lack of common language will prevent us from offending people.
Solitude is a capability that can make you happy, and whether you're 'in the school district group' doesn't matter.
