Love is Not as Beautiful as You Think
Nothing can capture love, love itself is the weapon.
In Greek mythology, the god of love is a young, immature boy – Cupid, who carries a quiver of arrows and randomly shoots them, causing those hit to experience piercing pain and a lifelong, painful existence.
Therefore, love is not as beautiful as we imagine it; it is the pain of two wounded hearts healing each other.
But do you know?
Cupid's arrows come in two types: one arrow brings noble love; and the other brings intense desire.
The golden arrow brings eternal love, it needs to be carefully sharpened, so that it can pierce the hearts of two lovers and embed itself within them. Lovers hit by the golden arrow will go through three stages to achieve eternal love – desire, tolerance and attachment, and deep friendship.
Cupid's other arrow is made of lead, this arrow can hit a target but cannot penetrate the heart, nor can it permanently embed itself within it. Lead arrows cause a fleeting passion, filled with lust and sensation.
This is why so many regrets exist under Cupid's random arrows – love and affection do not necessarily lead to a lifelong union.
In Western literature, Romeo and Juliet, two young lovers, tried everything, but ultimately failed to be together, resulting in a tragic love story born from misfortune.
History has repeated this, creating a Chinese version of Romeo and Juliet. The beautiful scene of 'Butterfly Effect' has always lingered in the minds of every Chinese person. The graceful melody of 'Liang Shan Bo and Zhu Ying Tai' has also been praised and admired by scholars and literati at home and abroad.
Green grass and flowers in full bloom
Colorful butterflies linger together
Forever echoing deep love
Shan Bo and Zhu Ying Tai will always love each other
This is reality: having someone by your side does not necessarily mean you love them. The one you love is the past that slowly fades away.
In today's society, although many feudal ethical constraints have been abandoned, there are still many invisible obstacles in love, which are more complex and realistic than before, and you may not even realize when and where they begin and end.
Most of the time, it's like a deaf person eating yellow ginger, with bitter words that cannot be spoken, and when words can be spoken, they are not true bitterness.
Therefore, we always hope for that kind of love: even if you have traveled thousands of miles and sailed through countless storms, with frost-stained eyebrows, to return and still be unchanged, still be the only unchanging choice.
As Zhang Ailing said: 'A little later is okay.'
