There's a Limit to Life; Overstepping Leads to Disaster!

Life is about navigating the world, and everything has its own measure. Mastering this measure, you'll live with ease and grace, as fluid as a fish in water.
Morality is a principle that everyone should consciously abide by; this measure is embodied in moral guidelines. Therefore, self-discipline through morality is superior to any law. Using morality to guide others is detrimental, while using it to guide oneself is beneficial. A wise ruler listens to his advisors who speak truthfully, even if the truth is uncomfortable; conversely, a ruler who ignores critical feedback will inevitably face ruin. 'Spring rain like ointment, farmers rejoice at its moistening, travelers dislike the muddy roads; autumn moon like a mirror, beautiful women admire its brilliance, thieves resent its glow. The vastness of heaven and earth, everyone has sighs, let alone a subject. It's better to remain humble and aware of one's limitations.
Mastering the measure means controlling yourself, which is the best form of self-cultivation.

Remembering a dialogue from *Zheng Quan Zheng Yao* (The Statutes of the Sage Emperor):
Emperor Tang asked, 'I observe that among my ministers, you are the most virtuous. You speak truthfully, but if you utter a falsehood, what is the cause?'
Xing Zhong replied, 'Spring rain like ointment, farmers rejoice at its moistening, travelers dislike the muddy roads; autumn moon like a mirror, beautiful women admire its brilliance, thieves resent its glow. The vastness of heaven and earth, everyone has sighs, let alone a subject. It's better to remain humble and aware of one's limitations.'
The Emperor said, 'Your words are insightful, and I will learn from them.'
In dealing with others, be mindful of your words and actions. Once you've caused harm, it's difficult to repair. Learn to temper your words, as sharp as a knife cutting flesh. 'Leave something unspoken' is the best form of education.
Life has its limits; consider your actions before you act. A thoughtful approach prevents disastrous consequences and regrets.
To master the measure, you must understand when to stop. Like a flower that blooms briefly, life is fleeting. Don't be greedy, or you'll miss out on countless opportunities. Those blinded by immediate gains often lose sight of the long-term benefits.

As the saying goes, 'Greed for one bushel of rice can result in the loss of half a year's harvest.' Lack of self-awareness leads to such excesses.
In relationships, trust and understanding are paramount, while suspicion and doubt breed conflict. Those who know when to withdraw will ultimately prevail. Let us be honest, mindful of our limits, and content with what we have.
Health is the most precious asset, followed by a balanced life. Consistent effort combined with rest leads to remarkable achievements. Do not overwork; take care of your body. Just as a machine needs rest to function efficiently, so too does human life. Life is about balance and moderation.
It's important to recognize that excessive ambition can lead to ruin. Be mindful of your actions and avoid becoming arrogant.

Everyone knows that excess is harmful, yet it's difficult to grasp this 'measure.' The 'measure' is also relative to each individual. May we all find our own 'measure' through continued exploration and reflection. Let us live our lives with a mindful balance, striving upwards while appreciating the beauty of life.
