Too Late to Say Goodbye
It's too late to say goodbye, just a blink and it's forever. Too late to say farewell, you quietly leave. Too late to recall the past moments, you've vanished. I miss you so much, where are you? My darling, you've been my lifelong yearning, my only one. I call your name on the mountains, where are you, the mountains echo, 'I'm here, I'm here, I'm here.' I ask the earth, where are you, and the earth replies, 'I'm here, I'm here, I'm waiting for you.' I arrive in the desolate Gobi, seeing your beautiful features among the galloping horses in the vast grasslands. I want to tell you how much I miss you, but you disappear into the crowd. Meeting you is so difficult, you don't wait for me. I wish I could be snowflakes, falling on your shoulders. Though brief, I could still see you. I want to become a wisp of fragrant longing, a red bean, written on red paper, to let you know my news. I want to tell you I'm waiting for you, too late, too late, too late.
