Fizik Transiro R1 Road Bike Shoe Review
In previous, in the article 'Fizik Vento R1 Road Bike Shoe Review' mentioned that Fizik sent two pairs of cycling shoes for testing, now the editor will fill in the gap.

Today's protagonist is fully named Fizik Transiro R1 Infinito Knit, a cycling shoe for triathlon. If familiar with Fizik cycling shoes, friends may have noticed that the name has a part that overlaps with the flagship model Infinito R1 Knit. Yes, it is not a newly designed triathlon shoe, but an optimized version based on Infinito R1 Knit for triathlon.
As for the editor who is not involved in triathlon, why did he choose a triathlon shoe? It's because the flamboyant red, white, and blue color scheme…

Still that kind of product introduction with various languages box

Product specifications

Pull out the inner box, still that palm tree road coating lid, throw it on the ground to disguise again

Take out the shoes, red, white, and blue elements combined with knitted upper, the first feeling is very flamboyant
The knitted upper has been since 2012, Nike launched it. By 2018, knitted uppers were popular, and major sports brands launched various knitted shoe basketball shoes, walking shoes, and casual shoes. I remember Fizik was the earliest brand to use knitted uppers for cycling shoes. In 2018, they followed the trend and launched Infinito R1 Knit. Fizik decided to develop knitted shoe cycling shoes for two main reasons: knitted fabric increases comfort to a certain extent, and also greatly improves breathability

Because of the poor tensile properties of knitted upper, so in the tightening area still used white leather material, formed the classic red, white, and blue color, or red, white, and blue plastic bag color…

This picture can clearly understand the distribution of knitted upper on the inside and outside, note that the black part in the middle of the inside is not knitted material

Carefully look, this part is microfiber material

The breathability holes of the knitted upper vaguely appeared red inner lining, very mischievous

Two BOA dials use the most common IP1 specification in cycling shoes, dual-directional adjustable, and has release function, very smooth to use, easy to put on and take off. And the low-position dial used red nylon and the high-position dial used blue nylon, 'red and blue CP' combination is very novel, I like it personally, because I used to have BMC RM01 with this color

The high-position tightening structure uses the upper as foot back support, effectively reduces the localized pressure, better support, good review

Compared to common full BOA cycling shoes' low-position 3 anchor points around 8 letter structure, Infinito R1's most recognizable feature is that the low-position has two large anchors divided into four small anchors, the nylon is square structure. I guess the use of this special structure is to reduce localized pressure

The large anchor is connected to the black middle of the knitted upper

The outer Fizik logo is red embroidered, anyway, the knitted upper is knitted, it doesn't matter if a few stitches are added, it can improve 'B' grid, how good is that

Fizik's cycling shoes have a quite pointed shoe tip, suitable for Greek foot shape, not very friendly to wide and Roman foot shape

The shoe head has a glued treatment to prevent scratching, because knitted upper cannot withstand wheels damaging it

The inner lining of the shoe back is switched to blue, which well echoes the 'red and blue CP' theme, I like it +2

The heel part still does not have the popular external heel cup design, but uses the traditional internal reinforcement, anyway, sufficient support is enough. I think the external heel cup will affect this knitted shoe's style. At the place that is easy to scratch under the heel, also has glued protection, details are very meticulous

Triathlon version Transiro and road version Infinito's biggest difference is this 'shoe retriever'. Because triathlon shoes are locked on the car when swimming and changing clothes, they are usually pushed out of the changing zone after driving, and then they are put on shoes by riding a bike on the spot, to squeeze out some time advantage. So this 'shoe retriever' is to facilitate users to lift shoes on the car

The heel has floating anti-slip treatment

The material label is exactly the same as Vento R1, making people suspect that it is just one label pasted

The shoe size information is sewn into the inner lining, and then I found it was 'Made in China', it doesn't match the 'Ley' brand's tone, right?

Infinito R1 and R3 series use integrated shoe tongue, so naturally there is a buckle assist to fix. Seeing Shimano R321 open this one-piece shoe tongue, it's still a lot of brands following up. I personally like the excellent wrapping feeling of the one-piece shoe tongue

The sole is exactly the same as Vento R1, details can refer to the previous Vento R1 article

The blue replaceable heel pad matches the overall color scheme, 'Ley' things have small details that are interesting

Transiro's another difference is that the footpad has large ventilation holes

Because triathlon athletes don't wear socks after swimming and changing clothes, they need to ensure there is enough ventilation and breathability inside to dry their feet. Besides, the footpad locking place still has high-density sponge padding to increase the step comfort
The real weight is 273.7g per shoe, not light, medium and medium, right?

Usage experience
After tightening the BOA dial, you can immediately feel the characteristics of the soft knitted upper. In the shoe head and toe box being about the same as Vento R1, Transiro R1 obviously does not have the toe pressure feeling of Vento, under the foot shape that does not meet the Roman foot shape, ride more than two hours without discomfort, it seems that the soft knitted upper can face the foot shape's tolerance

The knitted upper's another advantage is excellent breathability. Just before the weekend, I wanted to experience it in the hot weather. Knowing that it was about 10 degrees outside, this shoe still made the foot palm feel a little cool
In the hot weather of nearly 30 degrees at noon, with thin cycling socks, Transiro R1 did not have any stuffy feeling
In terms of ventilation and breathability, it deserves a good review

I believe anyone who has worn knitted shoes knows that this kind of shoes is afraid of small gravel, because small gravel easily attached to the knitted upper, and it is very difficult to clean. So, before wearing this shoe, you'd better check the weather forecast, and it's best to ride on non-paved roads in dust-free areas
In terms of stepping on the pedals, Transiro R1 continues to have the tough feeling of Vento R1, because it's the same carbon fiber outsole, right? Although the sole has sponge cushioning in the locking part, the overall stepping feeling still feels hard, like my Bont Helix, I felt pain in the footboard when shaking it for a long time
Because the heel uses internal reinforcement, not external heel cup, so at high power high stepping frequency, the heel's stability is not so good, but at most it is enough to support
Ride review
Advantages: The shoe surface is soft, the shoe shape has a high tolerance, good ventilation, the sole is tough, the appearance is fashionable
