Staying Home and Getting Fit: 7 - North Baidan Jin, Form 7
As an eight-form set of exercises, known as "Baidan Jin," is a widely renowned and beloved guided movement technique in China, significantly effective for fitness and deeply cherished by the public. It's a precious gem in traditional Chinese health culture.
This particular version of Baidan Jin, with its song lyrics and variations passed down through generations, differs slightly in its movements and order. Furthermore, a three-phrase preparatory warm-up is omitted to streamline the description below.
Seventh Form: Seventy-Seven Times of Tapping to Eliminate Diseases
1. Warm-up: Extend your legs with shoulder-width apart, maintaining a relaxed body.

2. Gently lean your body forward, bending your knees slightly, and firmly press through your heels to elevate and bounce your body.
3. Perform eight consecutive taps, culminating in a final landing where you strike the ground with your heels, causing a full-body vibration.
4. Repeat the entire set eight times.
Action Points
1. During the bouncing and tapping motion, primarily use the ball of your foot to generate power, while maintaining a state of extreme relaxation throughout your body, especially your spine, allowing your body to naturally rise and fall.
2. Do not exceed excessive bouncing height; gauge your comfort level to ensure a noticeable full-body vibration.
Benefits
This form achieves therapeutic effects through bouncing and tapping, followed by the final strike, stimulating organs and joints and eliminating disease. With the up-and-down shaking of internal organs, it promotes the circulation of internal energy, particularly facilitating transformation between organs, expelling pathogenic factors, aiding digestion, and enhancing water and liquid metabolism. The final strike strengthens joints. This form is especially beneficial for office workers who spend much of their time sitting.
