2,000 Wild White Egrets Make Hangzhou Wild Animal World Their Home

Step into Hangzhou Wild Animal World, a dense array of grayish-white figures perched on branches, forming a natural 'White Egret Mountain.' Here, it has become their comfortable habitat!

Tracing back to 2004, Hangzhou Wild Animal World successfully rescued over a hundred white egret chicks and settled them in the park. Now, a family consisting of night herons and white herons has grown to approximately 2000 individuals.

They fly in every spring to breed, raise young, and depart in autumn to southern ponds and forests, returning in spring year after year, growing stronger, and creating a beautiful picture of harmony between humans and nature.
