Kangaroo Falls 11 Meters into Deep Mine, Rescued and Found with Baby Joey in Pouch

According to The Daily Mail, last Sunday in Woon, Australia, a gold miner discovered a kangaroo in an abandoned mine. The mine was 11 meters deep, so he called the Five Freedoms Animal Rescue wildlife rescue organization to come and rescue it.

After Manfred Zabinskas of the organization arrived on the scene, he found the kangaroo curled up and unable to move. Based on his many years of experience, he believed the kangaroo was injured, possibly with spinal, pelvic, or leg injuries.

Manfred had to give the kangaroo a sedative to ease its pain. At the same time, he also discovered that the ground of the mine was not solid, but made of several sticks, and these sticks could collapse at any time, so he had to be very careful.

After a series of actions, the kangaroo was finally rescued. When it returned to the ground, they were surprised to find that it was a mother kangaroo, and she had a pouch with a baby kangaroo in it.

Fortunately, the mother kangaroo did not appear to be injured, according to its appearance. Manfred took her home and took good care of her. Then he sent the kangaroo to the kangaroo enclosure, where she had more space to move. She was very happy to jump there. This also fully demonstrates that the kangaroo’s physical condition is good.

Later, Manfred used the word 'miracle' to describe the rescue. The kangaroo was also called 'the luckiest kangaroo in Australia'.
