Black Bamboo Ridge is located in Leshan Ebian Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with pristine ecology and rare species. For many years, local residents have circulated some mysterious events, with livestock entering and encountering fog in certain areas or being struck by thunderstorms, leading to complete disappearance. After investigation by a research team, this phenomenon only appears in local areas. The geological formation of the area, with strong magnetic basalt, causes local lightning; the frozen soil layer in summer turns into a swamp, and livestock entering will gradually be submerged, leading to disappearance.

This 5-day trip to Black Bamboo Ridge includes 3 people who previously followed the guide, with detailed records of their trajectory, otherwise they would not dare to come. On November 30th at 3:00 PM, our group of 7 people and 1 dog departed from Chengdu and directly arrived at Black Bamboo Ridge town. At 8:00 PM, we set up camp at an open space opposite the Black Bamboo Ridge government. There's a toilet inside, and self-provided water is available, which is a convenient and safe campsite.

The first day, we prepared to reach Camp 1, but we underestimated the time and didn't reach it, which was a miserable night

7:30 AM on Day 1, we set off from Luwu Township. Due to road construction, the muddy road was one hour long, with numerous stone steps and high ground, my car's tail lights were smashed by stones. The original plan was 30 minutes, but it took a whole hour. To avoid inconvenience for the villagers behind, we parked at an electricity station in Luwu Township, and took out 20 yuan for parking on the way down

We packed and arranged our luggage, starting at 9:00 AM and began hiking. Each of us's backpack weighed 3-40 kilograms, as we would return to the village in 5 days. 4 male hikers are outdoor enthusiasts and plant enthusiasts, so we picked various wild fruits along the way, chatting and laughing while walking along the road was not too tired. At noon, when we had a rest and ate road meals, we found that the dog's paws were bleeding. Upon closer inspection, each paw had ants inside, which made me disgusted, so I reminded everyone to check for bites. They all had been bitten to some extent, and I only found one small one on my shoe, probably because my temperature was too low or some other reason it wasn't interested in me

The beginning of the journey

In August, plums and peaches, looking good, but eating them is sticky and the mouth is stuck, I was extremely disgusted

Initially, I thought the ants were in the forest that I encountered along the way, but later I found that it wasn't

Although there were records of previous routes, there will always be a desire to find shortcuts. As a result, when walking a short distance, we arrived at a dead end road of a reservoir, the scout team returned and found no way out, and finally everyone had to climb up along the water flow. I almost fell into the water, and I had to continue walking along the water flow

5:00 PM, we reached a flat location with abandoned collapsed houses, someone suggested that it was already late and set up camp here, which was flat and dry, the only disadvantage was that we might need to look for water a long way away

However, the other two strong hikers insisted on reaching Camp 1, according to the memory of those who had been there before, it would take 30 minutes. As a result, we walked in the dense thickets and black bamboo forests for 2 hours, and it was completely dark. The slope became steeper, and it was difficult to find our way in the forests with headlamps and flashlights, even with a recorded route, we often wandered off the path by half

We spent 10 hours hiking with a heavy load of 3-40 kilograms, and the energy replenishment was only a few small mooncakes. There were already 2000 meters of altitude here, and it was cold and hungry at night, I suddenly felt nauseous and stomachache, and finally couldn't hold it in and vomited and had diarrhea. As I continued walking with my backpack, I kept vomiting and stomachache, and I couldn't tell the others that they were going ahead, so I set up camp

Therefore, that night we set up camp on a slope, using two fallen branches to form a cross, and built a tent inside. The length of the flat part was only one meter, and there was a large stone under the bottom, which made me roll back and forth all night, and I had to push it to Ya Ya when she was, then I would crawl up a little, in this way we spent the night

That night we ran out of water, we had thought we were close to Camp 1 and didn't collect water along the way, we drank a few mouthfuls when we climbed the slope, thirst, so we used the white cabbage to supplement moisture, then we waited for the rain to collect water

Result, although it rained all night, there was only one small mouthful of rainwater collected from the raincoat, placed outside the tent, no water at all, strange

The next day, we found a water source, passed Camp 1, and finally arrived at Camp 2 at 4:30 PM. We spent 7 hours hiking today

We were playing and taking pictures in the magical original forest, and then we crossed a vast magical original forest and crossed a vast dense black bamboo forest, and finally succeeded in reaching Camp 2 at 4:30 PM

Other hikers found the correct campsite, we returned, crossed this dried-up small river, and finally arrived at the campsite. In fact, this small river is our water source, but only the upper reaches have water, the campsite has already dried up

We set up camp at 3700 meters above sea level, and the inflation of the air mattress almost didn't let me have a high-altitude reaction, with shortness of breath and dizziness, so I had to rest for a while and slowly inflate it

The weather in the mountains suddenly changed, it was sunny when we started, and within a few seconds the fog came over and it changed
