Recently, two white-necked cranes were playing in the water in Zhujie Village, Tuoketu County, Huhubei City. According to reports, white-necked cranes, also known as red-faced cranes or red-cheeked cranes, are slightly larger than gray cranes and belong to the large waterfowl category. They are a national secondary key protected animal and are listed as vulnerable species by the World Conservation Union. White-necked cranes mainly breed in Northeast Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jilin and other places in summer, and migrate to Jiangsu, Anhui and Jiangxi provinces in winter. During the spring and autumn migrations, they pass through Liaoning, Hebei, Henan and Shandong provinces, and rarely pass through the central area of Inner Mongolia. This is the first time white-necked cranes have been photographed in Tuoketu County in the past ten years.
