Overseas Net, February 5th reportRecently, a newborn Thai puppy has attracted media attention. Due to a genetic mutation, this dog has only one eye and is born in the middle of the forehead.
According to The Sun, UK report, on February 2nd local time, a newborn puppy was born in the home of residents in Chantho, Thailand. This puppy has only one eye, a nose and mouth, and is shaped like the cartoon character 'Kevin' (Kevin).
The family that owns the puppy expressed their happiness at having a newborn puppy with a physical abnormality, believing it to be a lucky sign, and are willing to accompany the puppy as it grows. Resident Somjai said that Kevin has been in good physical condition since birth, but cannot normally suckle, so it must be hand-fed with a bottle. Neighbors who have visited said that the puppy looks like a yellow cartoon character with one eye - 'Kevin'.
It is reported that dog Kevin's mother is a Philippine indigenous breed, but it is currently unclear what the father's breed is. Although the puppy can easily adapt to one eye, unfortunately, Kevin's deformity may lead to a shortened lifespan.
The veterinarian told Kevin's family that in most cases, survival is less than a week. The resident also said that they hope the puppy will survive and that even though Kevin has a deformity, they still want to accompany it as it grows. (Overseas Net - Li Meng, intern editor - Lin Jiamin)
