Fengtu Yicang Scenic Area
Fengtu Yicang Scenic Area

Fengtu Yicang is located in Aojia Town, Shaanxi Province, a cultural and tourist ancient town, and is the only large-scale ancient grain warehouse still in use in China and the world. It can currently store more than 5,000 tons of grain. It is a combination of storing grain, military fortress, and tourism, making it a fantastic destination. The warehouse was initiated to be built by Dongge University Scholar Yan Jingming during the Guangxu years. Empress Cixi bestowed the title of 'First Warehouse in the World' on it and inscribed 'Tiger' and 'Dragon' on the roof. The warehouse was approved as a national key cultural relic protection unit by the State Council in 2006.
The scenic area relies on national key cultural relic protection units Fengtu Yicang, provincial key cultural relic protection units Daici and Jinlong Temple Pagoda, and other historical and cultural heritage. It has developed a comprehensive tourism system with six layers as its main driving force, including 'Yellow River Cultural Heritage', 'Suburban Park', 'Modern Leisure Agricultural Base', 'National Food Security Education Base', 'Characteristic Tourist Town', and 'Core Rest Stop on the Yellow River Tourism Belt'.
