Xiong'An's 'Spring': Not Building Tall Buildings but Planting Trees, The Future City Might Be Loved by Everyone

Discover the beauty of cities and countryside, share culturally rich travel guides.

Recently, I shared some photos and travel experiences from my trip to the Xiong'An Citizen Service Center last year, and some friends have given a lot of evaluations about Rongcheng. Today, I'm specifically sharing about my travel experiences in Rongcheng, letting everyone understand the real appearance of Xiong'An New District.

Coming out of Baiyangdian Station, you can take a bus to reach the Rongcheng urban area. I went there in April last year, which was also spring at that time, so I saw Rongcheng in the spring. Overall, the impression left on me was very good, and there are many places that are green.

Rongcheng is a county-level city. If it weren't for the location in Xiong'An New District, many people, like me, probably wouldn't know this city. I first learned about this city many years ago, when traveling to Baiyangdian.

Last year when I went to Rongcheng, I felt that Rongcheng hadn't changed much. As a county-level city, it’s still characterized by villages and rural landscapes, similar to my hometown. I was wondering, why build a future city, and this landscape still exists?

Actually, the answer is simple. However, this is different from what many people imagine. I thought that since we were building a future city, we would definitely engage in large-scale construction to renovate this future core. However, when I went last year, I saw some renovations, but mainly for ecological environmental renovations. Xiong'An’s Citizen Service Center was built in Rongcheng, partly due to its good ecological environment. Therefore, Xiong’An was built first to improve the ecological environment of this city.

On the way to the Citizen Service Center, I saw that there were trees being planted on the roadside. These were all preparations for building a better Xiong'An in the future. We used to think that building a city started with building buildings. Maybe this is not suitable for Xiong’An.

Along the way, I also saw slogans, I can't remember exactly what they said, but they all said that building Xiong'An should first preserve this area’s ecological environment.

Like my previous post about the Citizen Service Center, Xiong'An’s development is a major project that will take time. Maybe the future city in my mind is too rushed, and so is for all those who are eager to see it. Develop ecology first, then develop the city. Maybe the future city we can't imagine.

But you will eventually come. This year, if I have the opportunity, I still want to go to Xiong'An Rongcheng in the spring, which will be even more beautiful than last year! What do you think?
