National Level Protected Animal: Snow Leopard

Snow leopard, a nationally protected animal on the verge of extinction, is distributed in Xinjiang, Tibet, and the Pamir Plateau. The population in Xinjiang Tian Shan is extremely small, known for its incredible speed and ability to disappear before the dragon appears. It preys on smaller animals such as Tibetan antelopes, foxes, and martens. It rarely descends from the mountains unless blocked by heavy snow or food scarcity.

The snow leopard is all-white with a few spots on its body, with a slender and agile body, sharp teeth, and is a hunting master.
