Photographer Captures Rare Pink Ray, It's Surprisingly Pink! The Contrast with Its Kind Is Extremely Striking
The ocean is the origin of life, and our exploration of the ocean is still not thorough. Every time a strange deep-sea creature appears, we can't help but marvel at the wonders of nature. A foreign underwater photographer encountered a particularly magical stingray during his shoot. They all are black, white, or black and white mixed, but this one was pink!

Underwater photographer Kristian Laine frequently travels to the mysterious ocean and shoots various wonderful creatures. But this day, he encountered a creature that shocked him. When he was shooting near the Australian Great Barrier Reef, he accidentally discovered a huge stingray in his lens. Strangely, its color was bright pink. At first, he thought it was a problem with the light, but after seeing it clearly, he realized it was really pink.
He immediately posted the photos online after returning to share the amazing sight. Later, he found out that the pink stingray was very famous in the local area. It was first discovered in 2015, and the discoverer was also stunned. People also named it Inspector Clouseau from 'The Pink Panther'. Later, people encountered it sporadically, but only a total of 8-10 times. It takes a lot of luck to encounter this special stingray.

Marine biologist Solomon David says that most stingrays are black, white, or black and white mixed. This pink stingray is very special, and it's a super vibrant pink, it may be the result of a gene mutation or leucism. Although scientists have analyzed its skin samples, the cause is still unclear.

However, since the relatives are black and white, the pink stingray may be too flashy and easily discovered by enemies. Marine biologists say it doesn't need to worry for now, it is a huge stingray, and its weight is estimated to be about one ton, which is much larger than ordinary stingrays.
It turns out that stingrays are also quite sad, they have evolved into ornamental fish, and the meat doesn't taste good at all. As a result, people said its gills have a very high medicinal value, and can treat cancer and infertility, so they are hunted in large numbers and are listed as a secondary protected animal by the International Union for Conservation of Nature.

It's really amazing what humans do, not only do they spread rumors about humans, but they don't spare animals either, as a result, many animals are on the verge of extinction. If they said eating human meat could make people live longer, would people try it?
