A Viral Round-Faced Cat Online, It's Shamelessly Bold and Has a Fiery Temper
Rich and Emma from Yorkshire, England, saw pictures of a cat named 'Ikiru' on a cat breeder's website and instantly fell in love with the unique feline. After their first visit, they were certain he was their cat, and after four weeks, they brought him home.

Finally, they created an Instagram account to document Ikiru's daily life, which has become a celebrity. It's no wonder. Ikiru is the absolute king of 'blep,' always making some very quirky expressions, and many people often ask his owner if he's okay.

Rich and Emma explained: 'Ikiru is very healthy, and our vet told us that her teeth are the best she's ever seen.' 'The foreign short-haired cat has a slightly chubby face, but it's full of energy and in great shape. You may think it doesn't always stick out its tongue, but this seems to be a quirk that causes some amusing facial expressions.'
The name 'Ikiru' came from the owner's favorite director, Akira Kurosawa's film 'ikiru,' which means 'to live' in Japanese. 'It's full of love, deeply affectionate, and a bit grumpy. Ikiru is also fun and interesting. There are always a lot of special quirks. A particular quirk is that it loves to burrow, loves to hide under blankets or paper, or to stare at you from under corners.'

Rich and Emma said that Ikiru's funny antics and facial expressions always make them laugh, and they find it wonderful to share him with the world through social media. 'We've received messages from all over the world saying that his silly faces, cuteness, and personality brighten their days. It has even inspired fans' artwork, truly capturing his brazen personality.'
