Wild Boar, Reeves' Muntjac, Leopard Cat... 55 Rare Wild Animals and Birds in Chishui Shuilan Protection Area
The Red Water Maple National Nature Reserve Administration used infrared cameras to take close-up shots, identifying 55 species of wild animals and birds.



National Level-II Protected Animal Reeves’s Muntjac is feeding its cubs, and wild boars are carrying a group of wild piglets foraging. In addition, the infrared camera for the first time captured the National Level-II Protected Animal Leopard Cat, which is a carnivorous animal, comes out to activity at night, good at running and climbing trees, and often activities in the forest area.

It is reported that the Red Water Maple National Nature Reserve Administration has currently monitoredLevel-II protected animals have 13 species, including 5 species of animals and 8 species of level-II protected birds.
Since December 12, 2016, the 60 infrared cameras installed in the Shuilan Protection Area have identified and photographed 55 species of wild animals and birds, including 21 species of animals and 34 species of wild birds.



The Red Water Maple National Nature Reserve Administration’s thirty-year protection has made the forest resources continuously improved, and the number of wild animal species in the area is continuously increasing. Recently, some wild animals that have disappeared from our sight for a long time have returned, and the ecology of the Shuilan National Nature Reserve Area has been greatly improved.
