To ensure safety after opening, the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base's opening hours are daily from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and ticket check and ticketing will stop at 4:00 pm. The Giant Panda Magic Theater continues to remain closed. In addition, disinfection is carried out in the base every day, and the animal keepers closely observe and record the animal's individual behavior, feeding, drinking, excrement, and status and state.
It is reported that during the closed-garden period, the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base developed comprehensive protective measures to ensure the safety of the park, ensure the normal feeding and management of all animals, and the conduct of research work. The base first stored a large amount of bamboo, and experts formulated an emergency bamboo feeding plan for giant pandas. To prevent human-animal cross-infection, keepers adopted a no-holiday, no-shift work system to ensure the health of animals and personnel, enabling normal operation of daily work such as feeding, raising cubs, environmental enrichment, behavior training, disease control and treatment.
It is reported that on March 17th, giant panda 'Fuwa' gave birth to the year's first pair of male giant panda cubs; on March 21st, giant panda 'Zizi' gave birth to a male giant panda cub. Currently, the three newborn cubs' physiological indicators are good. (Completed)
