The weather is bright and sunny, and Beijing has welcomed a large number of migratory birds. All 88 terrestrial wildlife epidemic and disease monitoring stations in the city are on full alert, monitoring the migration of migratory birds around the clock, covering the city's key waterways and important migratory bird routes. From January 1st to March 15th, a total of about 1.2 million birds were monitored at the stations, an increase of about 20% compared to the same period last year.
Every migration season, over 200 monitoring station staff members record the species and number of birds in the station area every day and provide timely rescue for injured birds.
Beijing is a key migratory route for many birds in the spring and autumn. In addition to Yaoya Lake and Mǐlín Reservoir, large water surfaces, Houhai in Daxing and Dashihe in Fangshan also have a large number of migratory birds.

Currently, the city's forest coverage rate has reached 44%, the forest coverage rate of the plains area has reached 29.6%, and the urban green coverage rate has reached 48.46%, the ecological environment is steadily improving.
