Yumen Marsh, a Flock of Grey Herons
Egrets, a species of wading birds belonging to the order Accipitriformes and the family Ardeidae, are commonly found along the banks of streams, lakes, ponds, swamps, and other aquatic areas, feeding primarily on small fish, shrimp, loach, frogs, and insects. They are listed on the 'Red List' of the 'International Union for Conservation of Nature'.
Egrets have two commonly used postures: either standing upright by the water's edge or sitting with their necks retracted on top of pine trees, often for extended periods, which is why they are also called 'Long Neck Old Man' etc.
Egrets carry long branches into dense woodlands to build their nests.
The nest is almost complete and is being reinforced by two egrets working in perfect harmony, and soon the job will be finished.
A highly discerning national level protected animal, the egret chooses to reside in Chengxiang, which also indicates that the ecological environment around us is becoming better and better.
Quiet or active, it is a beautiful painting, making those who appreciate it unconsciously hold their breath.
Their graceful and agile silhouettes reflect in the azure sky, like a painting, but more vivid than a painting.
