Bayin Gol Border Outpost Police Station Rescues a State-Level Wild Animal, the Greater White-Swan
Recently, the Bayin Gol Border Outpost Police Station in Urat Nor Flag received a report from a resident of the previous Da'men Grassland settlement: a wounded bird was found lying on the ground next to the resident's dwelling. The police station dispatched officers to handle the situation. Upon receiving the alarm, the on-duty police officers immediately rushed to the scene and discovered that the bird was a state-level protected wild animal, the Greater White-Swan, due to the recent sharp drop in temperatures in my area and the 'little guy''s leg and wings being injured, causing it to be unable to fly. The police officers immediately brought it back to the police station for rescue. After careful observation, the swan's wounds urgently needed treatment, and the police officers quickly contacted a veterinarian for its treatment, as well as feeding it, while also contacting the local forestry bureau. Subsequently, forestry bureau personnel transported the swan back for treatment.

This was the first state-level protected wild animal rescued this year. In response to this situation, the Bayin Gol Border Outpost Police Station organized officers to distribute leaflets and visit households to remind the public that when they find injured wild animals, they should not privately rescue or blindly release them, but should promptly report to the police or contact wildlife protection departments to ensure that the animals receive treatment before being scientifically released.
