Protecting Birds in Wulingshan Wetland

Located in the Wulingshan wetland of Bayanhuo City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Wulingshan wetland is a major migratory channel for birds on the Eurasian continent and is now an important breeding ground for gray geese in China. Since the late March, gray geese have concentrated in Wulingshan wetland for breeding and incubation. Protection personnel strengthen patrol and protection work during this period, monitoring their life status at all times to ensure their smooth incubation. Currently, Inner Mongolia has designated bird nesting, breeding core areas in Wulingshan wetland, prohibits human activities to interfere, and established fixed monitoring points, patrol routes, and adopted special patrol, regular monitoring measures to supervise bird habitation and breeding situation.
