Girlfriend, Cats, Me

Can I also be exceptionally fond of small animals?

I am a one-meter-eight-five-inch, two-hundred-pound, face-smudged Mongolian man, but from a young age, I've loved small animals. I don't tell my friends because I feel like a big guy liking Barbie dolls would receive unbelievable glances. When I was young, I really wanted to raise a dog, but the impact of our family's limited living space couldn't realize it. Consequently, I raised many non-space-occupying small animals, such as goldfish, loaches, turtles, and mudskippers, but I always felt incomplete. I like pets that are humane, those that come to hide in your arms when called, and that give you the feeling of happiness. I would notice the pets following behind the people running on the street, calling out their names, and they would run to their owners. When I was young, my grandmother raised a tabby cat, which liked to lie on the stone steps, basking in the sun. I liked to stroke its shaggy fur, secretly buying sausages to feed it, and would hold it up to the roof to sing to it. Raising pets rooted and sprouted in my heart from then on.

Graduated from university in 2015, I mustered the courage to buy a Dutch pig at the pet market, which was three colors of yellow, black, and white, and was very cute and fleshy. Although I said it was because I lived alone in the dormitory and was lonely, I actually represented my obsession with raising pets. I took it home, and I couldn't help but put it in my hand to examine it, stroking its fine fur, and tapping its little paws, I felt very happy. I named it Bobi, which comes from the heroic rabbit in League of Legends. In order to raise it well, I consulted a lot of information, and a small owner said it sleeps like a chicken leg, which made me feel very warm. Even though my salary was not high, I would buy green peppers and carrots to feed it every day, would use warm water to bathe it, and would regularly clean the feces in the cage. I considered it a member of my life, and I would talk to it, although it didn't understand. In 2016, I suddenly realized that it might be lonely, so I went to the pet market to buy a companion. Because it was black, I named it Black Bean. Unfortunately, that year I went to Xinjiang to work with my company, unable to take it away, so I gave it to my girlfriend who was afraid of animals. I called her every day to feed and water it until my girlfriend said one morning it went to heaven. Far away in Xinjiang, I recalled every limited memory and little bit of time with Bobi. Because I didn't have much love for the remaining Black Bean, I posted it on a website for others to adopt. My first pet raising experience ended. I don't think I will raise pets anymore because I can't stand the separation.

My junior classmate A graduated from university and interned in Zhengzhou, and I helped him rent a room. Perhaps like me, I also had the same psychology. He raised a university graduate dog at a website and couldn't take it away. It is worth mentioning that dogs are naturally very human, and soon leaned on A's little leg to rub. Just like all dogs, it is a home-destroying expert, and because it hasn't been trained to use the toilet, there's always a mess at home. Once A returned from Hebi for two days, I asked him to take it out for two days. At that time, I was still working in real estate, and I left home at 9 pm. When I opened the door to his house, the dog ran up and lay on my legs. After taking it out, the force of it running was beyond my two-hundred-pound body. From then on, I knew I probably didn't suit raising dogs because I was lazy to walk the dog, haha.

I'm a colleague B who is a professional pet store expert, influenced by his girlfriend's pet store business and successful revenue, he often dozed off during the meeting, and I learned that they would take their golden retriever and Pomeranian out every day. In the morning, they also forgot to say that they raised seventeen varieties of cats and rented a three-room apartment, with people, cats, and dogs living together. When someone mentioned cats, his voice became more fluent. From breeds, pet food, vaccines, mating, and giving birth to kittens, I, with no basic knowledge, had reached primary school level. At that time, many colleagues were raising cats, and they would take photos on their phones and admire them. I also participated in their discussions, but I worried about my girlfriend not liking furry animals, so I only indulged in it a little.

To be honest, my enthusiasm for raising pets has never diminished. In the past two years, I still enjoy raising ornamental fish and turtles. Ornamental fish were completely wiped out during my work in a city. Only three Brazilian turtles survived thanks to their strong life force. Last week, colleague B contacted me to ask if I wanted to raise a striped snake. I told him I would discuss it with my girlfriend, and I didn't want to discuss it, because she would definitely not agree. I spent many nights searching for photos of cute little kittens on the internet, and I looked for how to raise them well. When I saw Bobi, which was like a cow, and felt it enjoyed being stroked, I was almost melted. When I took it home, it was like failing the exam, and I hoped that my girlfriend would have a miracle. Of course, in the end, reality prevailed, and the furious reaction is still haunting me. I looked at the little cow curled up at my feet and wrote this article. I don't know if I can still live in my house tonight, and my girlfriend has two more hours to finish work. Wish me luck, Amen!
