Local staff discovered that the number of migrating swans, red ducks, and other wild birds is constantly increasing. There are also more than ten national second-level protected animals such as vultures and white-tailed sea eagles gathered around the wetlands, a relatively rare sight. It is expected that migratory birds will gradually reach their peak from March to late April.

More than 300 migratory birds arrived in Dengkou on February 23rd. The police of Dengkou County, Bainganbao, discovered another batch of migratory birds during routine inspection. The new birds mainly included the Falcated Duck, Mandarin Duck, Common Sandpiper, Purple Moorhen, and Red-necked Grebe, with a number of about 300.

Starting from February 12th, the first batch of swans arrived in Dengkou, marking the beginning of the migratory season.


Lake Ulanbum and Desert Welcomes Migratory Birds

On February 23rd, patrol police found a new batch of migratory birds in the lake of Ulanbum and Desert, mainly including the Falcated Duck, Mandarin Duck, Common Sandpiper, Purple Moorhen, and Red-necked Grebe, with a number of about 300. These birds were playing and foraging in the shallow, melting waters, looking very comfortable. The Falcated Duck and Mandarin Duck are naturally vigilant and difficult to approach, and patrol police had to go to great lengths to see their true appearance.
