March 31st, Bai Shui River Protection Zone forest rangers encountered a wild giant panda while patrolling the protection zone. He immediately captured a precious image of the giant panda on his phone.

Around 3:00 PM, the rangers patrolled to an altitude of 1400 meters, 10 meters away from the rangers, and suddenly discovered a giant panda walking towards them. The ranger immediately took out his phone to take pictures. The frightened giant panda immediately turned and crossed the stream, running to the opposite hillside, and finally disappeared into the forest.

According to the ranger, the location where the giant panda was discovered is in the protection zone's buffer zone, beside the stream with deep ravines, and this giant panda was likely drinking water and taking a 'stroll' in the ravine, leading to this 'encounter'. This is the second time rangers in the Lan Shui River area have seen a wild giant panda since February 2019, discovered at the Bioku Liuzu Dam in Wencan. Based on on-site observations, the giant panda was agile, quick, and in good condition.
In recent years, the Bai Shui River Protection Zone has continued to implement the strictest ecological protection measures, providing a paradise for the protection zone's giant pandas, golden monkeys, and moose to thrive and reproduce.
