How Cool Are Animals That Practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu? Let Ground Shark Tell You

If you love Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu,
but haven't seen his work,
you'll be very surprised.

Welcome to Grappling Wallpapers Sharing – Master Series #14. This time let's take a look at the Ground Shark series of fighting wallpapers!

His designer is John Connell, from the United States, who has been practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for 13 years and is known for his 'hardcore' in his circle of friends as a fighter enthusiast. He is also a professional painter who has designed a series of very famous Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu illustrations.
Most of his work is themed around animals. Why? He says:
Fight athletes all have various animal characteristics, such as the power of sharks, the wisdom of octopuses, and the threat of crocodiles. In fact, researching animals and imitating their movements is at the core of martial arts! Think about those ancient traditional Kung Fu styles, the Shaolin monks studied monkeys and mantis, etc.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is also a combination of the threat of wild animals and human wisdom, not just muscles and athletic ability, but also a psychological game. I'm just trying to find fun in it and combine people and animals in art to the best of my ability.

His work is completed using Photoshop and Painter, and each creation takes a lot of time, sometimes even spending several hours drawing skulls.
Whenever he has a good idea, he will quickly make sketches with pencil, and then slowly refine them.
