Players who like goldfish should know that spring is a disease season for goldfish, easily breeding various bacteria and parasites. So, what should fish keepers pay attention to during this period?

In spring, parasites and bacteria reproduce quickly, fish keepers should pay attention to disinfecting and sterilizing their fish, the specific methods are as follows:
1, When new fish arrive, after a long journey, their body condition is weak. The fish farm also disinfects and inspects them before shipment. So, don't immediately medicate them. You can change the water and keep them alone, the container should be as large as possible, definitely with oxygen, and then add three percent salt and three percent baking soda to let the fish rest and recover. Observe the goldfish's condition on the third day. If it's good, feed it a small amount, and gradually increase the feeding amount, finally keeping it finished within 15 minutes.
2, After about 5 days of recovery, the fish's condition gradually becomes active, you can give them a medicated bath to kill bacteria and parasites. The specific method is to alternate between potassium permanganate and concentrated salt water. Adjust the potassium permanganate to a pale red water solution, give them a bath for 20 minutes to half an hour. After 10 days, use concentrated salt water for a bath (the specific time length should be adjusted according to the water temperature, the higher the water temperature, the shorter the bath time, and the lower the water temperature, the time can be extended slightly).
3, Fish keeping first keeps water. Fish keepers should pay attention to water quality changes, especially those who keep fish in small bodies of water. If the fish container becomes dirty or the water quality is cloudy, you must change the water in time and wash the filter cotton frequently. If you find that the goldfish is in love or there are fish eggs on the bottom of the fish tank and the filter cotton, clean the filter cotton and change one-third of the water.
4, Special reminder: When new fish arrive, pay attention to quarantine, to prevent cross-infection. The isolation time is recommended to be more than one month. During this time, the goldfish gradually adapts to the owner's feeding and water change methods, and after several disinfection and inspections, it can be combined into a group to raise fish.
