Ejin Banner wetlands are an important migratory channel. As the weather warms, migratory birds arrive in Ejin Banner, Inner Mongolia.


Local staff discovered that the number of migrating swans and ducks increased, and there were more than ten national second-level protected animals such as vultures and white-tailed sea eagles in the wetlands, which is a rare sight. It is expected that the peak of the migrating birds will be reached from March to the end of April.

More than 300 migratory birds arrived in Dengkou


On February 23rd, Dengkou County Forest Public Security Bureau police officers discovered another batch of migratory birds arriving in Dengkou. The new birds were mainly gray-headed ducks, common ducks, and black-necked ducks, with a number of about 300.

Starting from February 12th, the first batch of swans arrived in Dengkou, marking the beginning of the migratory bird season.

Ulaanbumukh Desert Lake Welcomes Migratory Birds

On February 23rd, patrol officers discovered a new batch of migratory birds in Ulaanbumukh Desert Lake, mainly gray-headed ducks, common ducks, and black-necked ducks, with a number of 300. These birds were playing and feeding on the small, slightly thawed water surfaces, looking very comfortable. Gray-headed ducks and common ducks are very wary and difficult to observe, and patrol officers had to put in a lot of effort to see their true appearance.
