Large Numbers of Migratory Birds Arrive at Miyun Reservoir - A Spectacular Sight
Beijing Daily News reported (reporters: Gen Zi Ye) On Qingming Festival, Beijing's Mǐyun Reservoir welcomed a large number of migratory birds. A visual count revealed a significant number of freshwater seagulls and cormorants. They were often seen circling in the air and playing and hunting in the water, presenting a vibrant spring scene.

In recent years, the Mǐyun District has implemented a series of water conservation and protection measures. The water quality has consistently maintained national Level II standards or higher. The Mǐyun Reservoir and its surrounding wetlands have provided a good ecological environment for the breeding of birds.
