On February 25th, a citizen in Zhengzhou found a 'white goose' falling from dozens of floors, thinking it was a common pet goose raised by a private individual. When she was holding this 'falling goose', a knowledgeable resident of the community felt that it wasn't an ordinary goose, so he immediately called the police. After receiving the call, police from the Zhengzhou Forest Public Security First Brigade rushed to the scene. After identification, it turned out to be a state-protected secondary wild animal – the Knob-billed White-faced Duck.

Subsequently, forest police promptly transported it to the Zhengzhou Wild Animal Rescue Station for observation and treatment. After careful rescue by the rescue station staff, the white-faced duck recovered well. On the afternoon of March 26th at 3:00 pm, staff from the Zhengzhou Wild Animal Rescue Station and police from the Zhengzhou Forest Public Security First Brigade who participated in the rescue of the white-faced duck together brought it to Bailong Lake for release.

"After placing the white-faced duck in the water, it swam forward for a while and then called out, as if saying goodbye to us, then spread its wings and soared into the blue sky. Seeing it fly away, we were extremely excited. Humans can only coexist harmoniously with all animals in nature, and our environment will become increasingly beautiful. " Zhengzhou Wild Animal Rescue Station Station Director Dong Chaowei excitedly said.
