Recently, reporters witnessed a lively and heartwarming scene near the entrance of the Mobodong into the sea in Jinwan District, Zhuhai.

“Every year from March and April, there are about 4,500 seagulls coming here.” Photographer Mr. Su told reporters, “There are approximately five types of seagulls here, namely the Grey-Throated Loon, Red-Beaked Loon, Black-tailed Loon, Yellow-Legged Gull, and Ring-billed Gull.”

“The most beautiful one is the Red-Beaked Loon, the Red-Beaked Loon looks a bit like a pigeon, with a small red beak and a flattened black-brown tip, the body is mostly white, when taking flight, it is like a white fairy, becoming a beautiful and unique natural ecological landscape.”

“This area has a large number of oyster beds and abundant marine life, as well as tidal flats exposed after the tide goes out, which is a great habitat for seagulls.” Mr. Su said, “About after Qingming Festival, with the weather gradually warming up, the seagulls will gradually leave here.”
