Located in the Ulaan Nor grassland of Baingan Nor City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Ulaan Nor grassland wetland is a major migration channel for birds on the Eurasian continent and is now an important breeding ground for gray geese in China. Starting from late March, gray geese and waiting birds concentrate in the Ulaan Nor grassland wetland to lay eggs and hatch them. Protection personnel intensify patrol and protection work during this period, monitoring their life conditions at any time to ensure their smooth laying of eggs. Currently, Inner Mongolia has designated core nesting and breeding areas for birds in the Ulaan Nor grassland wetland, prohibiting human activities to interfere and has established fixed monitoring points, patrol routes and adopted measures such as dedicated guards and regular monitoring to supervise the birds' habitat and breeding situation.
