They're super cute, just petting their silky coats can bring you endless joy. If you're lucky, they might let out a hiss to encourage you to keep going! Let's take a look at some of the cutest foreign cat breeds:
1. Persian Cat
You're looking for a sweet feline, like a beautiful fluffy ball? Then this kitten is perfect for you. As the name suggests, the charming long-haired Persian originated in Persia (now Iran). Originally, Persians were always gray, but selective breeding has now produced them in many colors
This has also resulted in their prominent cheeks and large eyes (which adds to their charm). Their fondness for their adored owners – Queen Victoria greatly liked this breed is nothing new. It's no wonder Persians have such a grand reputation!

2. British Shorthair Cat
These medium to large cats have a fairly long history. It is believed that their ancestors date back to the cats brought to Britain by Julius Caesar and his Roman legionaries! Careful breeding has enhanced their appearance. Some of the most beautiful cats participated in the first cat show held in 1871 at the Crystal Palace
British Shorthairs come in many colours (can have different patterns and markings). The most popular is the British Blue, with its distinctive colour and luxurious silky coat. They are very robust cats, relatively independent, and very, very aloof – one of their favourite pastimes is to take naps

3. Birman Cat
The origin of this cat is a bit mysterious. The Birman is often described as 'the sacred cat of Burma'. Some believe their ancestors were guardians of an ancient temple in a monastery in Burma. By some chance, the Birman breed appeared in France in 1919 and quickly became popular
Without a doubt, it's due to their stunning light-coloured coats, with black points, faces, tails and ears that provide a contrast. In fact, there are now 20 different colours of Birman cats – that's what we call a cat breed! They have charming blue eyes and four lively white paws

The Burmese cat is believed to have originated in Burma, Thailand and Malaysia. It is known for its soft, smooth coat – you'll be satisfied when you pet it. Cats are not always known for their positive roles in family life, but these furry cats like to be the center of attention. Despite their graceful manner, they are still enjoyable pets, and they like to socialize. Originally, Burmese cats were usually brown-patched (brown with reddish-brown markings). However, now there are a wide variety of colours, including blue, orange, cream, blue-grey and mixed colours

5. Norwegian Forest Cat
The name of this cat gives its origin information. Yes, you guess correctly, they originated in Norway! More accurately, their ancestors were house pets outside the Vikings. The famous leader Leif Erikson stroked his beloved cat after a difficult day facing hostile locals. Norwegian Forest Cats are known for their long, long tails. They also like water (for cats, it seems unusual), and are fishermen, and they have a thick, waterproof coat

6. Siamese Cat

Some believe the Siamese cat dates back to ancient Egypt (because it is similar to the Egyptian cat goddess Bastet). However, history shows that the Siamese cat was already considered a pet in Thailand (Siamese) as early as the 1600s. Even there, they were associated with spiritualism and were considered guardians of the dead – some believe that cats can inhibit the souls of the dead after death. Siamese cats' eyes are very striking – a vivid blue, which can be a faithful pet (if they like you), in this case, you would be very honoured, as they are tightly pulled

7. Russian Blue Cat
There has been some debate about the origin of this cat, many people think it comes from the Big Diomond Island in Russia, but others think it may be from Spain or Malta. In this case, Spanish or Maltese Blue would be a more suitable name. These cats are graceful and often have piercing green eyes, their coats are often thick but still soft to the touch, a grey-blue coat almost with silver. So, what are you waiting for, this is definitely your kitten!

The Turkish Angora cat originated in Turkey, particularly Ankara (formerly known as Angora). It is a charming semi-longhaired cat with a silky coat and a distinctive, thick tail. This breed has even entered the movies. James Bond's films featured six villains, Blofeld, on whose thigh sat his beloved white cat (Turkish Angora cat). Initially, all Angoras were white, but selective breeding has now produced other colours and patterns. As for the temperament, this cat is curious, likes to explore, giving it a mischievous striped appearance. It's safe to say that if you're a troublemaker, an Angora cat could be the perfect companion for your crimes
