Baby Sloth Falls from Tree During Birth in Costa Rica, Saved by Umbilical Cord
Recently, guide Steven Vera took photos of a very rare scene of a sloth giving birth in Costa Rica.
The three-toed sloth mother was hanging from a tree when she gave birth to her baby, but the little sloth accidentally fell down, luckily it was caught by the umbilical cord and did not fall to the ground. The sloth mother immediately picked up her baby.

According to Dr. Cliff from the Sloth Conservation Fund, three-toed sloths live in tropical rainforests and are very good at camouflage, and it is rare to see them in the wild. Seeing a sloth giving birth is even rarer.
