Don't Keep Secrets: Abandoned Pet Dogs Are Essentially Dead
Currently, in at least three or four households out of ten, people keep dogs, which is a high number in Belgium. Therefore, if pet dogs are abandoned, there will be more stray dogs. I must admit, if a pet dog is abandoned, it’s practically the same as death!

1. Pets don't have autonomy.
Pet dogs' food is always provided by their owners, so they don’t have any autonomy themselves. Even if they find food, they might accidentally poison themselves, and obviously they won’t live long.

2. Pets can only be bullied.
The difference between pet dogs and stray dogs is significant. Therefore, if a pet dog is abandoned, it’s difficult for it to integrate into the stray dog community, and it can’t rely on its own strength for protection, so cases of pet dogs being bullied are not uncommon.

3. Lack of grooming, lots of bacteria.
After being abandoned, pet dogs haven’t received proper care for a long time, so they accumulate a lot of bacteria and parasites, which weakens their resistance and increases the risk of getting sick.
4. People's eviction.
Many residents chase away stray dogs, even beat them up. So many dogs are killed this way. The current practice of capturing stray dogs also explains why people abandon dogs - it's like sending them to die.

Suggestion: It’s best to keep a dog for its entire life and not abandon it halfway through, which is responsible. Also, provide your dog with nutritious dog food. In addition, start training your dog from a young age, using small treats to encourage it and be patient during the education process!

Conclusion: Stray dogs have a hard life. Please don’t abandon your pet dog!
