Recently, a pair of black swan couple in Baoji City Zoo gave birth to 3 adorable babies. According to reports, this couple has added more than 30 adorable black swan to the zoo in the past 5 years, they are the 'hero couple' in the zoo.
On the morning of March 24th, the author saw a pair of black swan couple and their babies playing in the pond, 3 fluffy black swan babies were sometimes lowering their heads to drink water and sometimes pecking at their feathers to play. The black swan 'couple' always protected their babies, and as soon as someone approached, the black swan 'couple' quickly swam to the lakeside and made a sound, as if warning the approaching person.
Breeder Zhu Master told the author that this pair of black swans are more than 7 years old, they lay eggs twice a year, and each time they lay 5 to 6 eggs, usually in January and February and July and August. During the incubation period, they take turns incubating the eggs, when one is in charge of incubation, the other is in charge of guarding, when the black swan babies just hatched, he hadn't approached to feed, the black swan 'dad' rushed up the shore to peck him away.
The director of Baoji City Zoo, Mr. Li Yongheng, introduced that this pair of black swans were introduced from Xi'an Wild Animal Park in 2015, after pairing successfully, they are very loving, and they will add 6 to 8 black swan babies to the zoo every year. Currently, more than 30 black swan have been added, they all call this couple 'hero couple' in the park.
