On March 16th, in the wetlands of Anqu Town, Redongren County, Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, everywhere was covered with snow. A flock of black-necked cranes that had migrated from Yunnan and Guizhou had arrived to play and forage. They alternately chased and frolicked and alternately soared in the sky, complementing the surrounding yak and red ducks, bringing endless vitality and vigor to the silent plateau.

Seeing this scene, Rongxiuchu Chen, a photographer from the Redongren County Third Eye Photography Association, quickly used his lens to record this precious moment. 'I photographed more than 10 black-necked cranes today, which are the first batch of black-necked cranes that have returned this year. Perhaps it's because of the snow, there were dozens of them at this time point in the past years.' Rongxiuchu Chen said, 'I estimate that it will take two more days before more black-necked cranes arrive.'

Rongxiuchu Chen told reporters that he is very fond of photographing wild animals. Since 2016, he has always come to find black-necked cranes at this time point each year. 'I hope to use my lens to let more people recognize the real nature, and to pay more attention and love for nature, to achieve harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.'

Black-necked cranes are the only cranes that grow and breed in the plateau. From March to November every year, in Redongren and Yaolage counties of Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, you can always see flocks of black-necked cranes breeding and living there. Among them, Yaolage County, which has the title of 'China Black-necked Crane Hometown,' has more than 1000 black-necked cranes, which is the largest distribution area and the largest breeding area in the world.

Relevant personnel from the Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Forestry Bureau said that it is easiest to see black-necked cranes in Huahu Wetland in Yaolage County, Aixin Village in Aixin Town, Waneynorlotso in Manman Ranch, and Gaqi Wetland in Redongren County. This is also the best location in Aba Prefecture to photograph black-necked cranes.
