Dongbei Net, March 27th(Reporter Ge Jinxin) With the warmer weather and melting ice, the first batch of migratory birds returned to Shuangduishi Baoqing County Seven Star River National Nature Reserve to herald spring. From March 16th to the present, Seven Star River wetland has discovered more than 20 individuals of national level key protected cranes, 16 individuals of national level key protected white-necked cranes, and more than 200 white egrets, as well as seven to eight hundred ducks.

Seven Star River National Nature Reserve is located in the (bu di - core area) of the Three Rivers Plain, which is the best-preserved and most representative inland marsh wetland in China. The nature reserve has always been committed to the protection and restoration of ecological environment since its establishment 20 years ago. With the improvement of the ecological environment within the nature reserve, more and more migratory birds choose to come here to reside and breed. The number of white-faced geese has increased from less than 50,000 to 150,000, and the number of white egrets and great cormorants has also increased significantly compared to the past, as well as wild cranes and other bird species.
